How to create a design with effects and minimized material waste?

The collection shows a product development on a Dornier EasyLeno – weaving machine to create and produce an allover fabric design with minimizing of waste for patternmaking. The possibility of design is integrated directly into the patterns. The design is focused on weft material, which dominates the fabric quality generating high airpermability, high strength, minimized material need and high flexibility in design and quality supported by leno weaving.

Material:

Warp: PES dtex 150/48/ 350 S and dtex 76/24/1050 Z
Weft: Chenille, PAC Nm 4.5 + wool/alpaca Nm 12 in different colors

Technology:

Leno weaving includes two warp systems which surround each other by fixing the filling. This technology generates a higher strength and less material need. Fine warp yarns in combination with coarser weft yarns create the surface with a new look.
