Metamorphosis, a form of change, is evident in this dress through the caterpillar's change of shape from a cocoon to a winged insect. In this way, the developers simultaneously draw attention to technological change in the textile and clothing industry, such as the laser cutter and ultrasonic welding, as digital and resource-efficient processing methods.
The digitally structured surfaces of the dress allow for constant adaptation to the wearer's movements and symbolically express change through textile multicolor effects and color play.
